Folegandros is a true escape, discover another world just 45 minutes away by boat from the busy Santorini. A mostly untouched gem in the midst of the Cycladic islands, not yet sought out by the throngs of tourists that overpopulate the more accessible island destinations like Santorini and Mykonos.

When travelers do take the measures to head to this remote island, they are rewarded with an unspoiled and rugged terrain dotted with the occasional village and terraced farm fields. The real treasure of Folegandros is discovering the sprawling, pebbled and pristine beaches.

Folegandros is a small island in the Cyclades, the Aegean Sea. Folegandros has 3 villages, Chora, Karavostasi, Ano Meria. Together with Sikinos, Ios, Anafi and Santorini, forms the southern part of the Cyclades. Its surface area is about 32 square kilometres (12 sq mi) and it has 765 inhabitants. The three small villages, Chora, Karavostasis, and Ano Meria are connected by a paved road. Folegandros is part of the Thira regional unit.
